Submitted Comment Name jocelyn anaya Affiliation Menlo Spark Subject New Water Heating Appliance Proposal Message I do not support the gutting of the proposal for water and space heating. This will have us fall far behind our state climate goals and keep communities breathing unhealthy air for a longer time. The time for clean air is now. My rent-controlled apartment has a gas furnace and we've already had several carbon monoxide scares. I want my landlord to be mandated to bring in a healthier appliance once this furnace is finished. CARB is overstating the need for electrical work when replacing appliances. Please do more research and investigate the pilots that have successfully electrified entire multifamily buildings on one panel.
