Indirect land use change models and risks

Interesting collection of speakers. Thanks for seeking them out and allowing us into their dialogue.

I reached three main conclusions.
1) The models are extremely complex and the degree of uncertainty is high.
2) The empirical approach seems far better, ie Dr Berry and Tim Searchinger.
3)From a policy point of view (that is CARB) the most important element seems to be the risk analysis that Colin Murphy looked at quickly. Putting our eggs in a model basked without looking at the risk of upside and downside error does not seem prudent.
