CalCPA and AICPA Comments on California Climate-Disclosure Information Solicitation: Draft Reporting Template for Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG Emissions

On behalf of the California Society of CPAs (CalCPA) and the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), we appreciate the opportunity to provide comments to the California Air Resources Board (CARB) related to the Public Comment Docket on the Draft Reporting Template for Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG Emissions released on 10/10/25.

Please see the attached letter with comments on the Draft Template and related provisions for implementing California’s Corporate Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Reporting Program. This letter has also been submitted through CARB’s online comment portal.

The CPA profession remains committed to working with CARB, policymakers, businesses and other stakeholders to ensure climate disclosure information is reliable, consistent, and useful for decision-makers.
