CARB's public dialogue -Narrative

CARB has a powerful story to tell—and it’s time to amplify it. By showcasing real-world success stories and proof points, CARB can highlight how U.S. companies are not just reducing emissions, but also reshoring jobs, driving innovation, and rebuilding a stronger, cleaner domestic industry. These use cases bring added value—proving that clean air and economic growth can go hand in hand.

Align CARB’s core mission with the engine of innovation in the world’s 4th largest economy. California is leading the way—and CARB can spotlight how clean air policies are fueling industry reinvention, job creation, and breakthrough technologies across the U.S.

Example:

Tell the story

Highlight businesses that play into clean air and cleantech economics. Examples:

Harbingers
Volvo’s
OrangeEV
Prologis (Solar)
WattEV
Forum Mobility
Etc

Is CARB’s narrative off? CARB maybe needs to reconsider adjusting the last part of its “Mission Statement” “considering the effects on the economy” to something similar to “delivering clean air while reshoring jobs, innovating, and rebuilding domestic industry” - needs to align more with public opinion and amplify

Highlight the emerging autonomous vehicle market. (1,000,000 miles)

Reinforce CARB’s mandate to protect public health and the environment by showing how large-scale economic sectors—not just small businesses—can drive measurable emissions reductions.

Showcase how industrial innovation contributes to meeting state and national climate goals, including GHG reduction, smog prevention, and air quality improvement.

Build Private Sector Momentum
Encourage more mid- and large-scale companies to take action by showing positive ROI, regulatory alignment, and supply chain benefits from clean-tech investment.

Provide replicable models for peer companies and industries on how to scale clean air solutions without sacrificing economic performance.

Strengthen Public & Policy Support
Use compelling, data-backed storytelling to expand public confidence that CARB regulations create economic opportunity, not just compliance burdens.

Attract bipartisan policy attention by linking air quality progress to American industrial leadership and energy independence.

Build a narrative, maybe use our LinkedIn post as an example:

California once had “smog days” that kept kids indoors. Today, we’re a global leader in clean energy, cleantech manufacturing, and international trade—anchored in innovation and decarbonization, and clearly visible in our local skies and logistics supply chain.

The best part?

U.S. cleantech companies are building a future with no smog days. Thanks to leaders like California Air Resources Board, the CALSTART, and our logistic supply chains businesses, we’re not just imagining that future—we’re building it.
As the world’s 4th largest economy, California shows that automation, electrification, and innovation don’t just clean the air—they generate real economic value, strengthen U.S. manufacturing, and create good-paying jobs.
Here’s what it looks like in action:

1️⃣ Pick up a container at the Green Port of Long Beach 🌍 🌿
2️⃣ Load it onto an Orange EV yard truck
3️⃣ Haul it inland with a Volvo Truck via Forum Mobility
4️⃣ Deliver to a solar-powered Prologis warehouse in the Inland Empire
5️⃣ Complete final-mile delivery with a Harbinger zero-emission vehicle

That’s just a glimpse of the “electric highway” dream team powering this transformation. A small snapshot of the U.S. manufacturing jobs behind the movement:

✅Orange EV – 235 jobs (Kansas) — “Leading the Charge. Pure Electric Yard Trucks Deployed Nationwide”
✅Harbinger – 300 jobs (California) — Local favorite
✅Volvo Trucks – 1,600 jobs (Virginia)
✅Tesla Semi – 200 jobs (Nevada)
✅Prologis – 2,000+ U.S. jobs

Prologis alone has delivered:
410+ MW of solar power in California ☀️
50+ solar-powered distribution centers in Southern California 😎
Over 14 million electrified miles 🚛

Also, don’t let what happened EV Chargers, Solar, semiconductor manufacturing happen again. Keep cleantech jobs here in the U.S.
