Submitted Comment Name Mauricio Mairena Affiliation Community for better environment Subject Hydrogen plants coming in Message Dear California Air Resources Board: My name is Mauricio Mairena and I live in the Wilmington neighborhood of Los Angeles. I know that CARB is studying hydrogen use, and I am writing to tell you I do not want hydrogen in my community. Putting more hydrogen in my neighborhood would perpetuate the impacts of polluting gas infrastructure such as asthma, air pollution, and flaring. Everyone deserves to breathe healthy air in their own homes. Blending hydrogen into the gas system wouldn’t just fail to address the pollution from gas appliances, but could even make it worse.
