Cal-ITP / CIM response to EO N27-25

Please find attached a memo outlining Cal-ITP / California Integrate Mobility (CIM)'s recommendations to the Governor’s recent Executive Order on enabling the next phase of the ZEV transition in California.

We have focused on topics that are likely to complement what others are suggesting. With this in mind, and while the document lists over a dozen topics for consideration, the three top priorities that want to emphasize are:
-For public charging: setting minimum payment and pricing communication (including via Google and Apple maps) and display standards, and putting in place mechanisms to encourage compliance
-For vehicle-to-grid enablement: ensuring V2G players leverage the existing payment rails
-For public transit transition: developing a statewide procurement strategy and enable market-making for both vehicles and infrastructure

We look forward to engaging on these topics and others as we continue our collaboration with other state organizations to support the ZEV transition.

Thank you,
Gillian Gillett, California Integrated Mobility (CIM) Program, Caltrans
