We encourage companies to voluntarily report emissions and climate risks using global standards like the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and TCFD recommendations. California’s adoption of these standards will ease compliance and reduce costs for businesses. As companies face international climate reporting rules, we encourage CARB to align with ISSB Standards and the EU’s reporting directive to ensure consistency and avoid duplication. Clear and predictable regulations are essential for businesses to plan effectively.
