F&I Institute of America Settlement
$7,500 in Fines Paid by F&I Institute of America
Between October 1, 2004 and April 30, 2007, F&I Institute of America (F&I) of Venice, California, sold, offered for sale, and/or advertised a device purchased from LL&C Dealer Services known as the “Fuel Maximizer.” This aftermarket device was not exempted by ARB pursuant to Title 13 CCR section 2222. Since that time, F&I has ceased selling the device to California dealerships, removed the product from their website and ceased selling it completely. F&I settled the violations in July 2008 for $7,500.
