Fadelli Concrete Pumping Case Settles for $6,500
In June 2015, Fadelli Concrete Pumping (D.B.A. Berkeley Concrete Pumping) agreed to pay a penalty of $6,500.00 for violating air quality regulations: $4,875.00 will be paid to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; $1,625.00 will be paid to the Peralta Colleges Foundation to fund emission education classes conducted by participating California community colleges, under the California Council for Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) program.
A routine investigation by the Enforcement Division documented that Fadelli Concrete Pumping had failed to put the required number of filters on their trucks by the January 1, 2015 deadline for the STB program. To resolve its violations, Fadelli Concrete Pumping has agreed to pay $6,500.00 in penalties: $4,875.00 will be paid to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; and $1,625.00 will be paid to the Peralta Colleges Foundation to fund emission education classes conducted by participating California community colleges, under the California Council for Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) program.
Fadelli Concrete Pumping is a construction equipment rental company serving all parts of Northern California, with yards in Berkeley, San Jose and Stockton. Fadelli Concrete Pumping does not have a history of past violations and had incorrectly calculated how many trucks in their fleet needed to have diesel particulate filters in order to comply with STB requirements. It is the responsibility of Fadelli Concrete Pumping to ensure compliance with the Statewide Truck and Bus program at all times.
