Evergreen Marine U.K. Ltd. Case Settles for $4,125

Evergreen Marine U.K. Ltd. has paid $4,125.00 in penalties to the California Air Pollution Control Fund, for violating air quality regulations. This settlement was reached on February 15, 2012. An investigation by the ARB showed that the Evergreen Marine U.K. Ltd. vessel Ever Envoy, failed to properly complete switchover upon entry into Regulated California Waters for its Main, Auxiliary, and Boiler Engines from Heavy Fuel Oil over to Low-Sulfur Distillate Fuel. To settle the case, Evergreen Marine U.K. Ltd. agreed to the $4,125.00 penalty and to comply with ARB regulations.
