The California Air Resources Board (CARB) is proposing updates to its methodology for quantifying the health impacts of air quality regulations, plans, and programs. The update is in response to Board Resolution 20-13, which directed CARB staff to develop a comprehensive evaluation of health benefits from reduced exposure to air pollution.
During this workshop, CARB staff will present the current methodology, new scientific evidence on health effects of air pollution exposure, and the proposed, new health endpoints for health impact analysis. Staff will also discuss ongoing research and internal analyses that are part of the broader effort to meet Board Resolution 20-13. Participants will have an opportunity to learn about the plan and comment on the proposed endpoints. The workshop will be held virtually with Spanish translation.
