California Air Resources Board

The California Air Resources Board is hosting a workgroup for the Innovative Small E-Fleet Pilot Project (ISEF) to discuss new options being explored.

As noted in the Funding Plan for Clean Transportation Incentives for Fiscal Year 2024-2025, staff is exploring new options including the development of a Used Truck Voucher Pilot concept, Advanced Fleet Management Assistance, and Insurance. 

A used vehicle voucher program could help foster the market by reducing costs and increasing the supply of vehicles. It would also allow CARB to collect valuable information to understand challenges as the market develops, and to also inform future policies. In addition, insurance assistance and ongoing fleet management would help fleets successfully add these vehicles to their fleets.

Staff has begun to explore the design of a Used Truck Voucher pilot concept. Earlier this year a Request for Information for the pilot concept was held. Submissions to the public docket is available for viewing here.
