CARB has verified the ESW CleanTech Skyline diesel retrofit system for certain off-road diesel engines used in off-road equipment. The Skyline system reduces emissions of diesel particulate matter by at least 85 percent and is designated as a Level 3 Plus system. The primary components of the actively-regenerated Skyline system include a silicon carbide wall-flow filter, electric heater, air pump, and a system controller. The Skyline system is compatible with off-road equipment using diesel fuel that contains up to 20 percent biodiesel. Specific conditions for which the Skyline system has been approved may be found in the Executive Order below.
