William J. Helmer General Engineering Contractor Inc. Case Settles for $3,000.00

In July 2013, William J. Helmer General Engineering Contractor Inc. agreed to pay $3,000 in penalties; $2,250.00 to the California Air Pollution Fund and $750 to Peralta Colleges Foundation, for violating air quality regulations. 

An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that William J. Helmer General Engineering Contractor Inc. failed to properly self-inspect their diesel truck to assure the truck met state emission standards. ARB documented violations as they related to the Periodic Smoke Inspection Program. To settle the case, William J. Helmer agreed to the $3,000 penalty and to comply with the all ARB programs.
