Vincent III AS Settles Ocean Going Vessel Fuel Sulfur Violation For $30,000

Vincent III AS, located in Oslo, Norway, paid $30,000 in penalties to the California Air Resources Board (CARB) for violating the Ocean-Going Vessels Fuel Regulation.  This settlement was reached in December 2020.  The violations were discovered during a routine inspection by CARB staff.  An investigation by CARB showed that, in 2019, the vessel Vincent Genesis operated on contaminated fuel for four days within Regulated California Waters.  Vincent III AS took prompt action after being notified of the violations and began operating in a compliant fashion.  To settle the case, Vincent III AS agreed to a $7,500 per day penalty for four days of violation, totaling $30,000.
