Ultramar Case Settled for $7,500

A predictive model report with an oxygen content range of 2.3 to 2.5 percent was submitted from Ultramar's Avon refinery on February 21, 2002, although the maximum allowable oxygen content is 2.4 percent. A corrected model was sent on February 22, 2002, after transfer of the fuel to Kinder Morgan. The case was settled for $7,500.
