Transocean Maritime Agencies S.A.M. Case Settles for $1,000
Transocean Maritime Agencies S.A.M. paid $1,000.00 in penalties to the California Air Resources Board, for violating air quality regulations. This settlement was reached on June 19, 2015. An investigation by the ARB showed that Transocean Maritime Agencies S.A.M. vessel Ataman, operated on fuel that came back higher in sulfur than the regulated limit. Transocean Maritime Agencies S.A.M. took prompt action after being notified of these violations and under ARB’s supervision began operating in a compliant fashion. To settle the case, Transocean Maritime Agencies S.A.M., Inc. agreed to the $1,000.00 penalty and to comply with ARB regulations.
