Listening Session

Use for CARB sponsored community meetings, open to the public with targeted notice to specific locations, stakeholders or, demographics.

Listening Sessions are the least formal types of meetings between CARB staff and the public. They may feature an agenda and staff presentations, but the majority of time is set aside for community and stakeholder narrative and discussion. Meeting format is represented to be flexible and provide significant opportunities for public participation in a wide range fo formats. Listening Session notices should include elements to ensure participation and reassurance that all voices will have time to be heard.
