Superior Grocers INC Case Settles for $15,300
In April 2010, Superior Grocers INC agreed to pay $15,300 penalties, $11,475 to the California Air Pollution Control Fund and $ 3,825 to the Peralta Community College District, for violating air quality regulations enforced by the Air Resources Board (ARB). The Superior Grocers Inc. failed to provide accurate registration information in ARB’s data base system in violation of California Code of Regulations Title 13 Section 2477- Airborne Toxic Control Measure for In-Use Diesel Fueled Transportation Refrigeration Units (TRUs) and TRU Generator Sets, and Facilities where TRUs operate. The case emphasizes the importance of providing accurate information; without it compliance cannot be properly assessed.
