SEI Chemical, Inc. Case Settles for $6,000

In 2008, SEI Chemical, Inc. sold or supplied non-complying SEI Graffiti Remover Spray in California that did not meet the 30 percent VOC limit for non-aerosol graffiti removers.  The product also did not display the date of manufacture.  However, since a separate enforcement action was being pursued by the Office of Legal Affairs, this case was forwarded to staff counsel for resolution.  The combined cases were settled on December 14, 2010 under a payment schedule which totaled $14,000.  The consumer products portion of the penalty was $6,000.
