Butamax™ Advanced Biofuels, LLC1 is seeking to commercialize biobutanol for use in blends with gasoline to be offered for sale within the State of California. Under California law, a necessary prerequisite for this commercialization is completion of a Multimedia Assessment. A Tier I Multimedia Report summarizing existing knowledge on biobutanol and identifying key knowledge gaps has previously been approved by the California Multimedia Workgroup and published. This document, the Tier II work plan, has been prepared as the next step in the multimedia evaluation process.
