This is CARB's notice of approval for San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District's (APCD) submitted Project Plan to fund a program for residential lawn and garden equipment replacement in the communities of South Central Fresno and Shafter, both selected for participation in Assembly Bill (AB) 617 through development of Community Emissions Reduction Programs. This measure will reduce oxides of nitrogen and fine particulate matter emissions from residential lawn and garden equipment by increasing outreach and access to incentive funding while providing rebates up to 100% of equipment cost of new electric mowers when replacing an existing gas-powered model. Residents making a purchase of a new piece of eligible equipment without existing equipment will be eligible for up to $50.
For more information on the residential lawn and garden replacement program, see the details for the program on San Joaquin Valley APCD's web site.
