The 2022 Scoping Plan Update will assess progress towards achieving the Senate Bill 32 2030 target and lay out a path to achieve carbon neutrality by 2045. Achieving carbon neutrality will require the State to consider greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and sinks from natural and working lands (NWL). As part of the Scoping Plan, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) will be modeling various land management scenarios to help develop a target for California’s NWLs. This technical workshop builds on previous NWL workshops and will provide an in-depth discussion on developing modeling scenarios for NWLs. Stakeholder input and feedback are encouraged.
