Professional Courier, Inc. Case Settles for $113,000
In September 2015, Professional Courier, Inc., based in Fresno, agreed to pay $113,000.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $84,749.00 will go to the California Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; $28,251.00 will go to Peralta Colleges Foundation to fund emission education classes conducted by participating California community colleges, under the California Council for Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) program.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Professional Courier, Inc. failed to comply with the Truck and Bus (TB) program rule by neglecting to install legally required emission reduction devices by applicable compliance dates. ARB documented violations as they related to the TB program. To settle the case, Professional Courier, Inc. agreed to the $113,000.00 penalty and to comply with the TB Program in addition to other ARB programs.
