Plasti Dip International, Incorporated Settles For $170,000

In February 2021, the California Air Resources Board and Plasti Dip International, Incorporated (Plasti Dip), of Blaine, Minnesota, reached a settlement agreement in the amount of $170,000. Plasti Dip sold, supplied, offered for sale and/or manufactured non-flat coating and clear coating products for use in California that exceeded the reactivity standards specified in title 17, California Code of Regulations, section 94522. This violation resulted in 12.55 tons of excess ozone emissions. To come into compliance, Plasti Dip modified its products to meet the requirements of a Flexible Coating category.
