Philip B, Inc. Case Settles for $3,000.00

A case was settled with Philip B, Inc. on April 25,2013 for selling a non-compliant product named “Philip B Jet Set Hair Spray” in California that exceeded the 55 percent by weight for “Hair Spray” standard specified in Title 17, CCR, section 94509(a). In addition, the company did not file an explanation of their date code to ARB on an annual basis as required in section 94512(c) Administrative requirements, Additional Product Dating Requirements. The hair spray product was sold from April 2007 to July 2012 and resulted in 0.011 tons of excess emissions of volatile organic compounds. Philip B company paid $3,000 to settle the case.
