Short-lived climate pollutants (SLCP) are powerful climate forcers that have relatively short atmospheric lifetimes. These pollutants include the greenhouse gases methane and hydrofluorocarbons, and anthropogenic black carbon. Because SLCP impacts are especially strong over the short term, acting now to reduce their emissions can have an immediate beneficial impact on climate change and public health.

Dairy Sector Workshop
The California Air Resources Board (CARB or Board) invites interested parties to join a public workshop to learn about CARB's progress in compiling California-specific dairy activity data and evaluating the dairy sector emissions trends. Attendees will also hear from a diverse set of stakeholders, including people who live and work near dairy operations and members of the dairy industry. The workshop will be held on August 22, 2024, at the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District office. Remote participation is also available to members of the public via Zoom.
