Traction Battery Labeling
Primary Contact
Senate Bill 615 (SB 615; Chapter 351, Statutes of 2026) establishes requirements for battery suppliers and remanufacturers to register with the California Air Resources Board and to label new or remanufactured vehicle traction batteries sold into California. These requirements support the safe and effective management of vehicle traction batteries throughout their lifecycle, including reuse, repair, repurposing, remanufacturing, and recycling.
