Proposed Emergency Amendment and Adoption of Vehicle Emissions Regulations

Erratum

The final version of the emergency regulations includes minor corrections to the amended and proposed regulation text to ensure consistency with the previously adopted versions approved by the Office of Administrative Law. These corrections were made before the regulations were filed with the Secretary of State under the emergency regulation provisions of Government Code sections 11346.1 and 11349.6, along with California Code of Regulations, title 1, sections 48 through 56, and in accordance with the Emergency Notice that stated the purpose of the emergency regulations is to clarify that previously-adopted regulations remain operative and that CARB would accordingly consider other changes to the sections affected. These corrections do not affect the regulatory intent or application. These corrections are reflected in the regulation filed with the Secretary of State on October 2, 2025. The Board will consider in a subsequent rulemaking whether to make these regulations permanent.
