History and Evolution of TRIG
Previously, there were four separate TRIGs - Border Communities, Infrastructure, Outreach, and Rule Provisions - each with distinct objectives. While the Rule Provisions group will continue under the TRIG banner, the Border Communities, Outreach, and Infrastructure work groups will now be part of the Drive Forward Truck Forums.
The Drive Forward Truck Forums build on the TRIG meetings, which supported actions to reduce emissions. The Border Communities TRIG Workgroup will be incorporated into the Drive Forward Truck Forum Outreach workgroup.
The Drive Forward Truck Forums are a part of the Drive Forward Initiative. Building on the foundation established through ZEV Forward, and guided by Executive Order N-27-25, the Drive Forward initiative continues California’s commitment to meeting both state and national air quality standards, achieving climate and clean air goals, and protecting public health through strong vehicle standards. Drive Forward will advance this work by supporting the potential development of light-, medium- and heavy-duty vehicle regulations, incentive programs, outreach and education, and complementary programs and policies that enable clean vehicle deployment. Please visit the Drive Forward homepage for more information.
