Zero-Emission Truck Loan Pilot Project
The pilot program helps small businesses get financing to buy new or used medium- and heavy-duty zero-emission vehicles. The California Air Resources Board (CARB) worked closely with California Energy Commission to include similar support for charging or fueling infrastructure. The California Pollution Control Financing Authority (CPCFA) runs the program for CARB through the California Capital Access Program. This pilot allows CARB, CPCFA, the California Energy Commission, and lenders a chance to learn from small fleets what they need to successfully switch to zero-emission vehicles. It also helps the State identify where more help may be needed.
