The Clean Energy and Pollution Reduction Act of 2015 (Senate Bill 350) directs the California Air Resources Board (CARB), in coordination with the California Public Utilities Commission and California Energy Commission, to establish 2030 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction targets for the electricity sector and electricity providers. In September 2023, CARB finalized the 2023 Update to the 2030 GHG emissions targets for certain electricity providers.
