At a public meeting held on June 22nd, 2023, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) approved of the Eastern Kern Air Pollution Control District (District) 2023 Ozone Plan for the 70-ppb and 75-ppb 8-Hour Ozone Standards for the Eastern Kern Nonattainment Area (2023 Plan). CARB submitted the 2023 Plan to U.S. EPA on August 7, 2023.
At a public hearing held on May 4th, 2023, the District adopted the 2023 Eastern Kern 8-Hour Ozone Plan. On April 5th, 2023, a public workshop was held by the District.
