MNB Express Inc. Case Settles for $2,850

MNB Express Inc. has agreed to pay $2,850.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations ; $2,138 will be paid to the Air Pollution Control Fund and $712 will be paid to the Peralta College foundation for distribution to participating California Council on Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) colleges . This settlement was reached in October 2014. 

A routine investigation by the Enforcement Division documented that MNB Express Inc. failed to maintain records of smoke emissions from its feet of heavy duty diesel vehicles. In addition, MNB Express Inc. failed to dispatch a drayage truck compliant with the emissions standards set forth in the Drayage Truck Regulation or registered with the DTR. To settle the case, MNB Express Inc. has agreed to the $2,850.00 penalty and to comply with the Drayage Truck Regulation, the Period Smoke Inspection Program, and other ARB applicable regulations.
