Miramonte Sanitation, Inc. Case Settles for $4,250

Miramonte Sanitation, Inc. is an integrated solid waste company with operations in Reedly.  In August 2010, Miramonte agreed to pay $4,250 in penalties; $1,062.50 to the Peralta Community College District for violating air quality regulations.  An investigation by the ARB showed that Miramonte failed to comply with the solid waste collection vehicle rule by neglecting to install legally required emission-reduction devices by applicable compliance dates.  ARB documented violations as they related to the Solid Waste Collection Vehicle Program (SWCV).  To settle the case Miramonte agreed to the $4,250 penalty and to comply with the SWCV program in addition to other ARB programs.
