Manuel Brasil Trucking Case Settles for $12,500.00
In June 2013, Manuel Brasil dba MB Trucking agreed to pay $12,500 in penalties; $9,375 to the California Air Pollution Fund and $3,125 to Peralta Colleges Foundation, for violating air quality regulations.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that MB Trucking failed to properly self-inspect their diesel truck to assure the truck met state emission standards. ARB documented violations as they related to the Periodic Smoke Inspection Program and Truck and Bus Program. To settle the case, MB Trucking agreed to the $12,500 penalty and to comply with the all ARB programs.
