Lowe's HIW, Inc. Case Settles for $20,000

Lowe’s HIW, Inc. operates several home improvement warehouses in California.  Between 2007 and 2010, Lowe’s HIW Inc. sold or supplied 1,050 containers of windshield washer fluids that exceeded the one percent VOC limit set under Consumer Products Regulation for automotive windshield washer fluids sold in non-type A areas of California.  The violations resulted from shipping errors at the company’s distribution center serving Northern California.  The violation was settled for $20,000 on May 20, 2010.
