$2,500 in Fines Paid by J.F. Labs

J.F. Labs sold, supplied, and offered for sale in California units of Recurrence of Hawaiian Silky Fine Mist Spritz between 2003 and 2005. This hairspray was found at Happy Rootz Beauty Supply in Barstow, California on March 29, 2005. The product exceeded the 55 percent by weight VOC limit for hairspray. The case was settled by the Consumer Products Enforcement staff on May 22, 2006 for $2,500 in penalties.
