Green Earth Technologies, Inc. Case Settles for $4,000

On August 5, 2010, Green Earth Technologies, Inc. settled a case for $4,000.  Green Earth Technologies, Inc. manufactured G-FUEL™ Charcoal Lighter Fluid product and sold containers to Home Depot.  Green Earth Technologies, Inc. was unaware of the regulatory requirements for “charcoal lighter materials,” and conducted a recall immediately after being notified of the enforcement action. This product claims to be a patent pending “green” outdoor cooking solution that is made with American grown food grade oils.  Green Earth Technologies, Inc. did not certify this product and submit an explanation of the date code to ARB. These are violations of the Consumer Products Regulation.
