Technology exists to provide real time monitoring, measuring, and recordkeeping. Methane Manager systems provide alarms during methane events and closes the gap between snapshots in time.

Total Methane leaving the ground and entering the surface can be measured with an uncertainty by Multi-Phase flow meters (MPFM), regulators know gas sold into marketplace, and the remaining methane should be reconciled as fugitive emissions.
