Foresthill Motorsports, LLC Case Settles for $155,000

In October 2011, the Air Resources Board (ARB) along with the California Attorney General’s Office, Foresthill Motorsports, LLC, Wendy Lowery, and Leif Lowery stipulated to a judgment before the Superior Court of the State of California, County of Placer. The Judgment includes a permanent injunction on the defendants, and a penalty in the amount of $155,000 with $145,000 stayed for five years after final payment is made, provided the terms are followed. An investigation by the ARB showed that Foresthill Motorsports, which is no longer in business, acquired and ultimately sold and registered twenty-nine Ricardo motorcycles to California residents. These motorcycles were illegal for sale or use in California and were in violation of Health and Safety Code sections 43151 through 43153.
