Eagle Signs & Printing Inc. Case Settles for $600.00
In October 2013, Eagle Signs & Printing Inc. agreed to pay $600.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $450.00 will go to the California Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; $150.00 will go to Peralta Colleges Foundation to fund emission education classes conducted by participating California community colleges, under the California Council for Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) program.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Eagle Signs & Printing Inc. failed to: (1) properly affix Emission Control Labels on the engines of their fleet vehicles and (2) timely report all required information for all vehicles in the fleet for which they elected to utilize the compliance option for small fleets under the Truck and Bus Regulation. ARB documented violations as they related to Emission Control Label (ECL) Program and the Truck and Bus Regulation. To settle the case, Eagle Signs & Printing Inc. agreed to the $600.00 penalty and to comply with the Emission Control Label program, the Truck and Bus Regulation, and other ARB programs.
