Dole Fresh Fruit Company Case Settles for $24,750

Dole Fresh Fruit Company (Dole) will pay $24,750.00 in penalties $18,562.50 to the California Air Pollution Control Fund, and $6,187.50 to the Peralta Community College District for distribution to participating California Council on Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) colleges, for violating air quality regulations. This settlement was reached on December 9, 2011.

An investigation by the ARB showed that Dole failed to properly label their diesel powered TRU generator sets. To settle the case Dole agreed to the $24,750.00 penalty and to comply with the TRU regulations.
