CARB has verified the ECS Purifilter^TM (hereafter referred to as CDTi) Plus M system for select 1993 through 2010 model year heavy-duty on-road diesel engines used in on-road applications. The Purifilter^TM Plus M system reduces emissions of diesel particulate matter by at least 85 percent and is designated as a Level 3 Plus system. The primary components of the Purifilter^TM Plus M include an electric heating element for active regeneration, a catalyzed silicon carbide diesel particulate filter for passive regeneration, and a backpressure monitoring and notification system. The Purifilter^TM Plus M system is compatible with on-road vehicles using diesel fuel that contains up to 20 percent biodiesel.
