Public Work Group Meeting on Medium and Heavy-Duty Infrastructure: On January 12 via remote access, CARB, the California Energy Commission, the California Public Utilities Commission, and the Governor’s Office of Business Administration and Economic Development will hold the third of four work group meetings to discuss medium and heavy-duty infrastructure. The focus of this meeting will be on electricity and the grid and will specifically address charging performance needs, rate design, load management, grid capacity and resiliency, future proofing, and utility planning. Each meeting will provide opportunities for participants to discuss current infrastructure activities, challenges, and solutions required to support zero-emission trucks and buses in response to the proposed Advanced Clean Fleets regulations.
Public Webinar on Commercial Harbor Craft Regulation: On January 12 via remote access, CARB will host a public webinar to discuss the next steps in the proposed amendments to the Commercial Harbor Craft Regulation. Topics of discussion will include incentive funding opportunities, approaches to the Board’s directions at the November hearing, options for upcoming implementation and outreach, and considerations for returning to the Board in Spring 2022.
Public Workshop to Discuss Amendments to the On-Road Motorcycle Regulations: On January 12 via remote access, CARB staff will hold a public workshop to update stakeholders on the development of the proposed amendments to the On-Road Motorcycle (ONMC) Regulations. At this workshop, CARB staff will address the results of the ONMC evaporative emissions research, draft ONMC evaporative standards and test procedures, and revisions to the regulatory proposal for ONMC developed in November 2020.
