Anastacio Navarro Jr. Case Settles for $8,500
Anastacio Navarro Jr. will pay $8,500.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $8,500.00 will go to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality. This settlement was reached in January 2018.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Anastacio Navarro Jr. failed to properly self-inspect their diesel trucks to assure the trucks met state smoke emission standards and failed to bring 6 of their Transport Refrigeration Units (TRU) into compliance with the applicable in-use performance standards. ARB documented violations as they related to the Periodic Smoke Inspection Program (PSIP) and the TRU Airborne Toxic Control Measure. To settle the case, Anastacio Navarro Jr. agreed to the $8,500.00 penalty and to comply with PSIP, TRU, and other ARB programs.
