Alliance Environmental Group, Inc. Case Settles for $6,750
State Law establishes the Asbestos National Emissions Standard for Hazardous Air Pollutants as Airborne Toxic Control Measure (Asbestos ATCM) enforceable by Air Resources Board (ARB). The Asbestos ATCM requires the owner(s) or operator(s) of demolition or renovation activities to provide written notification of the intention to demolish or renovate a regulated facility ten (10) working days before work begins.
An investigation by ARB showed that Alliance Environmental group, Inc. of San Diego failed to properly notify ARB before removing Regulated Asbestos Containing Material in a structure in Imperial County. To settle the case, Alliance Environmental group, Inc. of San Diego agreed to a $6,750.00 penalty. This settlement was reached in September, 2015.
