$74,250 in Fines Paid by Ds Waters of America, Inc.

In July, 2008, Ds Waters of America, Inc. agreed to pay $74,250 in penalties; $55,687.50 to the California Air Pollution Fund and $18,562.50 to the Peralta Community College District, for violating air quality regulations.  An investigation by the ARB showed that Ds Waters of America, Inc. failed to properly self-inspect their diesel trucks to assure the trucks met state smoke emission standards.  ARB documented violations as they related to the Periodic Smoke Inspection Program (PSI).  To settle the case, Ds Waters of America, Inc. agreed to the $74,250 penalty and to comply with the PSI and other ARB programs.
