Dollar General Corporation and Garcoa Laboratories Case Settles for $3,000

On March 20, 2015, a case was settled with Dollar General Corporation for selling and Garcoa Laboratories for manufacturing, “DG Body Sensitive Skin Astringent” subject to the VOC limit for the Astringent/Toner Category, title 17, California Code of Regulations, section 94509(a). The product contained concentrations of VOC’s exceeding the 35 percent by weight VOC limit for the category. Excess emissions in this case were approximately 0.04 tons. The company paid $3,000.00 to settle the case.
