Dojima Marine Co., Ltd. Case Settles for $55,500
Dojima Marine Co., Ltd. has paid $55,500.00 in penalties to the California Air Pollution Control Fund for violating air quality regulations. This settlement was reached on February 10, 2012. An investigation by the ARB showed that the Dojima Marine Co., Ltd. vessel Amorita failed to properly complete switchover for its Main Engines from Heavy Fuel Oil over to Low-Sulfur Distillate Fuel upon entry into Regulated California Waters. To settle the case, Dojima Marine Co., Ltd. agreed to the $55,500.00 penalty and to comply with ARB regulations.
